A fast growing audit, consulting and advisory firm - a client of Green Hat HR Consulting, is seeking to hire a suitable resource as Manager – Indirect Tax / VAT consulting. The firm was established by European expats in 2014 and currently employs 12 advisers across consulting and audit. This position has been newly created to strengthen, expand and streamline the existing VAT consulting practice. The client has a very professional work environment, vibrant office and a young & energetic team - a mix of different nationalities. Current clientele includes medium and small enterprises across wide range of market sectors.If selected, you would be responsible for expanding and streamlining the VAT Consulting practice. You along with the team would advise clients on VAT Implementation and treatment of various transactions under new VAT law. You would assist in resolving classification issues with necessary authorities. You would proactively identify any potential VAT compliance risks and provide pragmatic advice and solutions. You would collaborate, communicate and provide reports to various internal and external stakeholders. You would be responsible for networking, expanding and building new clientele as well as maintaining good relationship with existing clients. Supervising and coaching the team members would be a key part of the role. The firm also plans to expand in GCC in future, hence career prospects include promotion as a partner for the right candidate.
Mandatory Prerequisites
- Qualified CTA, CPA, CA or ACCA
- Minimum 8 years of experience in indirect tax / VAT implementation in international market.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role
- Should have strong VAT technical skills.
- Experience should be with consulting firm advising a range of diverse industries. Candidates with experience as Tax inspectors / auditors and also welcome to apply.
- Should possess strong networking and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Should possess strong analytical skills.
- Preferences: Candidates holding previous experience with Big 4 Audit firms in the UK / European market would be preferred.
- Willingness to occasionally travel within GCC.
